WHO

Huda Beydoun is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, whose work spans painting, mixed media, photography, and digital art. Born in 1988, Huda’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in exploring human experiences, transforming them into visually captivating pieces that blend the painful with the playful. Her unique approach to art involves the use of juxtaposition—taking raw, often difficult emotions and presenting them in a way that is both visually appealing and thought-provoking, not as a mockery, but as a reflection of how individuals can mask their inner struggles with outward joy.

Huda’s work is characterized by her love for patterns, repetition, and layering, all of which she employs to create complex, multi-dimensional pieces. Bold and playful colors are a hallmark of her style, adding vibrancy and depth to her exploration of the human condition. Her art is inspired by personal experiences and the universal aspects of the human journey, making her work both intimate and relatable.

Over the years, Huda’s work has been showcased in numerous prestigious exhibitions around the world. Highlights include AlUla: A Tapestry of Creativity in Monte Carlo, Monaco (2024), Shift22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (2022), and Cortona on The Move in Tuscany, Italy (2022). In 2019, Huda held her first solo exhibition, Overexposure, at Hafiz Gallery in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in her career and establishing her as a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene. Her work was also featured in the renowned Dismaland exhibition curated by Banksy in Weston-super-Mare, UK, in 2015, further showcasing her ability to engage with global audiences through her distinct artistic voice.

Huda holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education, majoring in Autism, which has provided her with a profound understanding of the human mind and behavior—an insight that deeply influences her artistic practice. Additionally, she pursued advanced training in Fashion Photography under renowned photographers Paolo Roversi and Dominique Issermann in Paris, France (2018), and has continuously expanded her knowledge through various courses in art direction and practice since 2011.

Her work has garnered attention in major publications including Marie Claire Italia, Vogue Arabia, Emirates Woman, Gulf News, About Her, and ArtDaily. Huda Beydoun continues to push the boundaries of her practice, exploring new mediums to express the complexities of human emotion and experience, allowing her to connect with a diverse audience on multiple levels.
